Redwood Credit Union Re-Elects Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee Members

Redwood Credit Union (RCU) recently re-elected four Officials for three-year terms from 2012 to 2015. Incumbents Robert Eyler, Greg McGuirk and Jim Olmsted have been re-elected to the Credit Union’s Board of Directors and incumbent Lou Funk has been re-elected to RCU’s Supervisory Committee. RCU’s Board of Directors sets the Credit Union’s strategic direction and policies, and the Supervisory Committee oversees the audit function for the Credit Union. Because credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives, RCU’s Board and Supervisory Committee members serve voluntarily and are elected by the membership.

Robert Eyler has served as an RCU volunteer Official since 2009, and as a Board Member since 2011. He is a Professor of Economics and the Executive MBA program director at Sonoma State University. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from California State University, Chico. Dr. Eyler is also director of the Center for Regional Economic Analysis at Sonoma State University, as well as interim CEO of the Marin Economic Forum, a countywide, public-private partnership for economic development organization in Marin County.

The Credit Union’s Officials have also selected their officers for the year as follows: Robert Wieck as Board Chair, Dave Imoto as Board Vice Chair, Rod Dole as Board Secretary, Greg McGuirk as Board Treasurer, Martin Grove as Supervisory Committee Chair, Steve Sharpe as Supervisory Committee Vice Chair, and David Gouin as Supervisory Committee Secretary.
